Canvas Usage

Learn how to use BlinkPrompt’s visual canvas and block system effectively.

How do I create my first prompt on the canvas?

Creating your first prompt is simple! Once logged in, you’ll see the visual canvas interface. Drag blocks from the right sidebar onto the canvas to build your prompt structure. Start with basic blocks like Question or Instruction blocks, then add Context or Expert blocks as needed. Your work auto-saves every few seconds, so you don’t need to worry about losing progress.

What happens to my drafts and how long are they saved?

BlinkPrompt automatically saves your work as drafts while you’re creating prompts. Important: Drafts are automatically deleted after 30 days to keep our system clean and efficient. Make sure to save your prompts as templates or copy them to external tools before the 30-day limit if you want to keep them permanently.

How do templates work and can I share them?

Templates are saved versions of your prompts that you can reuse. You can mark templates as “public” to share them with the BlinkPrompt community. When someone modifies a public template you created, the system automatically creates a private copy for them, so your original template remains unchanged. You retain ownership of all your content while allowing others to learn from and build upon your work.

Can I export my prompts to use in other AI tools?

Yes! You can easily copy your completed prompts to use in any AI platform like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. Simply click the copy button or use the keyboard shortcut to copy your structured prompt as plain text. You can also export your personal data including all prompts and templates through your WordPress dashboard under Tools > Export Personal Data.

What are the different types of blocks available?

BlinkPrompt offers several specialized block types to help structure your prompts:

  • Question Blocks: Frame your main queries clearly
  • Instruction Blocks: Provide specific directions for the AI
  • Context Blocks: Add background information
  • Code Blocks: Include code snippets for technical prompts
  • Expert Blocks: Define what kind of expert persona the AI should adopt
  • Output Blocks: Specify the desired response format
  • Negative Prompt Blocks: Specify what to avoid in responses

  3. Retry attempts: Stripe uses automatic retry system
  4. Final notice: Email warning before account suspension
  5. Suspension: Account downgrades to Free tier (no data is deleted)
